Doris Ayers Keel, 94, passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2024.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at Carlisle Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Crabtree officiating. Burial will follow at Edgecombe Memorial Park.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Henry Keel; son, Donnie Keel; grandson, Joey Keel Jr.; her parents, Fannie and Walter Ayers; her 4 sisters; and 2 brothers.

Doris is survived by her son, William Joseph Keel; 2 daughters, Mattie Fay Keel and Jeanette Keel Summerlin (Scottie); grandchildren, Michael Keel (Tammy), Jonathan Keel, Cassie Keel, and Jennifer Moore (Allen); 12 great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Richard Harrell; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be at 6:00 – 8:00 pm on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at Carlisle Funeral Home.

The family will be receiving friends at Jeanette's home.
