Doris Rachel Braswell, 87, passed away Saturday, October 21, 2017.

A private service was held at Edgecombe Memorial Park.

She was born February 24, 1930 to Eli Allen and Gertrude Williamson Savage. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Arthur Braswell; sister, Susie Savage Whitfield; brothers, William A. Savage and LeRoy Savage; son-in-law, William C. Burgess.

She is survived by her family, daughters Regina Floyd and husband, Robert Ronda Burgess; son, Richard Frederick Braswell and wife, Jeana; brothers, Cecil Savage and Eli Allen Savage, Jr.; grandchildren, Christopher Burgess, Gabriele Braswell and Frederick Arthur Braswell; great-grandchildren, Madison Brooke Burgess and William Broderick Burgess.
