Duckery "Ray" Thompson, 47, passed away Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at 2:00pm, Carlisle Funeral Home, Tarboro. Burial will follow in Macclesfield Cemetery.

Ray was employed for many years with Grain Elevator Repair Service as a supervisor. He enjoyed fishing and hunting with his friends and riding a John Deere Tractor.

He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Brooke Thompson; sons, Justin Dilda and wife, Candace of Wilson, Jordan Webb and fiancée, Brianna Joyner of Pinetops, Cameron Wooten of Walstonburg and Dustin Mooring of Wilson; mother, Janice Thompson Smith of Macclesfield; father, Thomas Bridgers; brother, Michael Bridgers and wife, Stacey of Macclesfield; sister, Kimberly Barnett and husband, Joe of Wilson; granddaughters, Emma Mooring and Paisley Dilda; 6 nieces and 5 nephews.

The family would like to thank Johnny Barnes, Barnes Farming Co., Ronnie and Sybil Webb, and Andy Harris for their support and love during these difficult times.

Family will receive friends at Carlisle Funeral Home, Monday December 11, 2017 from 7:00 – 9:00pm and other times at the home in Macclesfield.
