March 10, 1948 – September 5, 2025
Dwan Lee (Thomas) Moore of Bethel, North Carolina passed away peacefully on Friday, September 5, 2025, at the age of 77. Dwan was born on March 10, 1948, becoming the only child of Lizzie Whitehurst Thomas and Floyd Jennings Thomas. She was raised in Bethel and graduated from Bethel High School. Dwan was preceded in death by her parents, Lizzie and Floyd, as well as by her biological half-sisters, Mary Alice Spain and Meredith Norman. She is survived by her daughter, Sara Moore, and the father of her child, Bill Moore. Dwan is also survived by her dear cousin, Trudy Gulley, as well as numerous other cherished cousins. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 22nd, 2025 at Bethel Cemetery, 29610 West Lewis Street, Bethel.
