Earl Dean Jones, aged 82, passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at the Edgecombe Rehabilitation Center in Tarboro.

Graveside at 10:00 am on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at Edgecombe Memorial Park with Wayne Holloman officiating the service.

Born on March 16, 1942, she was the daughter of Rufus Garland Stancill and Anna Blanche Walters.

Earl Dean was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Jones, as well as her sisters Annabelle Solomone, Adell Goode, Lucy Morris, Louise Bryant, Verna Lee Stancill, and Marie Holloman; and brothers Alfred Lee Stancill, James Rufus Stancill, Linwood Earl Stancill, Rufus Garland Stancill Jr., and Charles Alton Stancill.

She is survived by her sons Chris Jones (Cathy), Rodney Jones, and Clint Jones, along with her grandchildren: Casey Cogar (David), Alison Shepard (Robert), Matthew Jones (Devon), Dylan Jones (Bri), Jason Jones (Morgan), Courtney Evans (Jamie). Anna Jones and Billie Jones Great-grandchildren. Conner, Abigail, Carter, Lanie, Luke, Cutchin, and Sterlyn James. Brothers, Guilford Stancill (Linda), Rudolph Stancill (Ruby) and many nieces and nephews.

As the youngest of eleven siblings, Earl Dean was known for her loving, caring, and witty nature, always bringing laughter to those around her. In her younger years, she enjoyed yard work and playing ball with her grandchildren. Always a dedicated worker throughout her life. Her family will deeply miss her and hold her memory close to their hearts.

Visitation will be at 7:00 - 9:00 PM on Friday, November 8, 2024 at Carlisle Funeral Home.
