EC Pollard, 90, of Tarboro, North Carolina, died Tuesday, July, 16, 2024 at ECU Health Edgecombe Hospital. He was born on August 5, 1933 in Pitt County, NC to Fernanda and Della Alford Pollard.

He graduated from Leggett High School in 1953, and later moved to Selma North Carolina, where he was deeply involved in his community and cherished his role as a small business owner. EC owned Home Milk Company in Selma and later Sealtest Milk Distributers in Raleigh, NC. He was known for his work ethic and a job well done.

Known for his love of sports, EC played baseball in high school and later shared this passion by coaching his sons' Little League teams. He was an occasional golfer, and humorously admitted that he could never outplay his wife, Alice.

EC's love for a good joke, dancing and his joyful spirit will be remembered by all who knew him.

EC was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Alice Kirkland Pollard, his parents, and four siblings. He is survived by his sons Monty Pollard and wife Katherine of Tarboro, NC and Micheal Pollard and wife Heather of

Fuquay-Varina, NC. He was a proud grandfather to Kesler Pollard (Megan) of Charlotte, NC, Mary Kirkland Pollard of Richmond, Va. and Meggan Pollard of Sanford, NC. His great-grandchildren are Eloise and James Pollard of Charlotte.

A graveside service will be held at Edgecombe Memorial Park, Tarboro

on Tuesday, August 13 at 11:00, The Reverend Stephen Mazingo officiating.

The family will receive friends at home 612 Lucille Drive, Tarboro, NC following the service.
