Eddie Riggins, 87, of Pinetops, North Carolina passed away peacefully Monday, September 29, 2025, at ECU Health Edgecombe Hospital surrounded by his family.  He was born in Guilford County on May 7, 1938, to the late Wilson Edward Riggins and Maryland Younger Riggins.

Eddie graduated from Gibsonville High School where he played baseball, football, and was a member of the student government. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps where he was an expert marksman. He worked at and retired from Ilco Unican.  Eddie was married for 38 years to Lorraine Zieler Riggins.  As a devout Christian, he attended Church at White Oak Presbyterian where he made many friends.  Eddie was very passionate about the things he loved.  First and foremost was his relationship with our Lord and Savior.  He loved his wife Lorraine beyond measure.  He showed this in his actions from the very day they met.  Eddie was an amazing soul; he loved to spend time making those around him laugh.  Eddie was an avid golfer. He was very competitive and enjoyed his time on the course with his friends.  He spent his last days spending time with Lorraine laughing with and loving her.  Eddie will be sorely missed.

Eddie is survived by his wife Lorraine Zieler Riggins.  He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Charles Edward Riggins, and sister Betty Riggins Langley.
