Edith O'Neal Guill Ballard, 98, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2025.
She was the daughter of Micajah O'Neal and Lula Etheridge. Edith was 1st married to Ervin Guill and later married Harry Ballard.
She was preceded in death by parents; infant daughter Jan Guill; son Dickie Guill; husbands Ervin Guill and Harry Ballard; brothers Raymond, Paul, Lee and Walter Hardy O'Neal.
Edith is survived by son, Pell Guill (Lisa); daughter, Edith Wagner (Louis); daughter-in-law, Ann Guill; sister, Jean Rogister; brother, Curtis O'Neal; granddaughter, Jan York; grandsons, Ken Guill and Brian Guill; stepson, Harry Ballard Jr.; step grandchildren, Cline Ballard, Emily Ballard, and 4 great grandchildren.
Dedicated and loving caregiver Debbie Morris for many years.
Edith was a life-long resident of Tarboro and resided at The Albemarle retirement community for more than 10 years. She loved her home town and felt blessed to live her life here. She also cherished her many friends at The Albemarle.
The Celebration of Edith's life will be held at the St James United Methodist Church, 211 East St James Street, Tarboro Friday, February 21, 2025 at 2 PM with the family receiving friends one hour before the service at the church
