Edward Peter Burek Jr., 74, passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2025.

Graveside service will at 10:00am on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at Edgecombe Memorial Park.

He worked many years as a maintenance mechanic in various manufacturing plants. He was a Marine and served in Vietnam.

Edward loved his dog, Jasper, and was a big hockey fan especially of the Carolina Hurricanes and Buffalo Sabers.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Peter and Gloria Nowakowski Burek.

He is survived by his wife of almost 27 years, Kathy Coker Burek; siblings, Catherine Gildner, Robert, John, Michael, Paul and Steven; and numerous nieces and nephews.
