Ed Hunt passed away peacefully in the presence of the Lord on November 7, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on February 21, 1944, Ed graduated with the Class of 1962 from Owen J. Roberts High School in Pottstown, PA. He proudly served his country in the Vietnam War as a member of the 82nd Airborne Division, 1st Air Cavalry. After returning home, he continued his family's legacy as a third-generation sign artist, working alongside his father in the outdoor advertising business before founding his own successful company.

Upon retirement, Ed settled in Hobgood, North Carolina, where he found great joy in gardening, fishing, and spending time with his family. His creativity, sense of humor, and devotion to those he loved will be remembered by all who knew him.

Ed was preceded by his parents, Edward and Annie Katherine Hunt; and his sister Kay Taylor and her son Jeff.

Ed was married to his beloved wife, Nancy Hunt, for 58 years. He is also survived by his daughter, Virginia and Jason Morris of Harpers Ferry, West Virginia; his son, Eddie Hunt of Hobgood, North Carolina; and his cherished grandchildren, Marissa, Karlyn, and Ava Morris, and Cody and Nicholas Hunt; and nephew, Mark Taylor.

A graveside only service will be held to celebrate his life. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Hobgood Baptist Church, P.O. Box 36, Hobgood, NC 27843, in Ed's honor.
