Elizabeth Dickens Cosgrove passed away at ECU Health Medical Center in Greenville, NC on Wednesday, March 26, 2025.

She was a graduate of Tarboro High School, and served in the Navy attaining the rank of Petty officer third Class in the Seabees Construction Battalion

She was born on October 6, 1960, the daughter of  Emily Dickens Long and George Earl Long Sr.

Libby is preceded in death by her mother and father, brother Jeffrey Glenn Long.

She is survived by her husband Mr. Brian Cosgrove. Sons Ryan and Jared Cosgrove, grandchildren Brian and Olivia Cosgrove and a brother George Earl Long Jr.

Her loves were her family, painting , gardening and reading. She was a loving wife, caring mother and loyal friend and great sister.

A graveside service will be held in the Greenwood Cemetery in Tarboro, Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at 1 PM. The family will receive friends and family at Carlisle Funeral Home Monday, March 31, 2025, from 6 until 8 Pm.
