Ella Mae Davis, 84, passed September 1, 2020, at Vidant Edgecombe Hospital in Tarboro, North Carolina. She was born May 20, 1936 in Hamilton, North Carolina to Pearlie Bullock.

Mae married Walter "Pete" Davis and they settled in Tarboro, North Carolina and Mae worked at Carolina Enterprise for over 30 years. Mae enjoyed spending time with her family, doing crossword puzzles and watching the Atlanta Braves play baseball.

In addition to her mother Pearlie Bullock, she was preceded in death by her husband Walter "Pete" Davis. Some siblings including three sisters and a brother and her two daughters Janice Cummings and Brenda Davis.

She is survived by her loving family including her two sons Ricky Davis Sr. (Crystal) and Kevin Davis (Brandy) both of Tarboro, NC. Her grandchildren Chris Davis (Emily) of Hickory NC, Laura Cummings of Pinetops, David Cummings Jr of Tarboro, Ricky Davis Jr (Camden) of Tarboro, Ashley Davis-Oviedo (Arturo) of Macclesfield and Amy and Hanna Davis. In addition to her son in law David Cummings Sr of Tarboro, her sister Dora Edmondson and her brother Elliott Bullock. And a host of great grandchildren that she loved dearly.

As her wishes, following her cremation Mae will be taken back to her hometown of Hamilton, NC for her final resting place. The family will have a private memorial service at a later date to honor the life of Ella Mae Davis.
