Ellen Gray Pittman, 69, passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, with her beloved husband by her side.

Ellen was born in Edgecombe County on May 29, 1955, to Clifton DeMuth and Florence Summerlin DeMuth.

Ellen was married to the love of her life, Kenneth Pittman, for 52 years. After retiring, they enjoyed traveling together before she became unable to do so. She also loved just staying at home watching her soap operas. Ellen was a fur mama to her much-loved fur babies. Her Shih Tzu, Cookie, will greatly miss her mama.

In addition to her parents, Ellen was preceded in death by her brothers, Bobby and Fred DeMuth, and a nephew, Bobby DeMuth, Jr. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth; brother, Clarence DeMuth; and many much-loved cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 1:00 - 2:00 pm on Sunday, March 23, 2025 at Edgecombe Memorial Park Mausoleum with service following at 2:00pm.
