Macclesfield Ellen "Scoot and Hattie" Delores Morris, 76, passed away on Tuesday, December 26, 2017. Funeral service will be held in the Chapel of Carlisle Funeral Home at 2:00pm on Saturday, December 30, in Macclesfield Cemetery. Ellen enjoyed cooking, music, dancing, playing cards, but mostly spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alice Gay Pitt and Braxton Mercer Pitt; husband, Lennie Morris; son, Charlie Morris; companion, Kermit Boyette; brother, Johnny Pitt; sister, Janice Daugherty. She is survived by her loving family which includes her daughters, Merry Askew and husband Dannie, of Macclesfield, Sheila Morris, of Macclesfield, Emily Lovitt and Gary, of Macclesfield; sons, Chris Morris, Brandon Morris, both of Macclesfield; sisters, Polly Edmondson, of Pinetops, Carolyn Baker, of Macclesfield; 15 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends and relatives on Friday at Carlisle Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00pm.
