Mr. Elmer Willis Lynn Sr., age 66, of Fountain passed away on October 28, 2018 at Vidant Edgecombe Hospital.

Elmer was born on August the 1st in 1952 to Elmer Lloyd Lynn and Inez Bellflower. Elmer worked at Barnhill Construction as a mechanic for over 20 years and before that as a mechanic at Runnymede Mills in Tarboro, NC. He enjoyed working on trucks and cars. He also liked the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved dogs and raising various kinds of animals and livestock. He also enjoyed time with friends and family.

Preceding Elmer was his late parents Elmer Lloyd Lynn and Inez Bellflower of Tarboro, NC. He leaves behind his wife of 18 years Betty Lynn of the home in Fountain, NC. He also leaves behind a son Elmer Willis Lynn Jr. (Georgette), step sons Ben Keel Jr., William Keel (Tina) a daughter Jennifer Rae Lynn, brothers Earl Lynn (Darlene), Preston Lynn (Barbara) and sisters Phyllis Horton (Charles), Kathy Baker (Jimmy), Debbie Cobb (Johnny), Patsy Cashwell (Danny). Grandchildren Joshua Lynn, Allison Lynn, Shamya and Dez.

The family will be receiving friends at Carlisle Funeral Home, Tarboro, NC on Tuesday night from the hours of 6 until 8 Pm and other times at the home.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at 11:00 am at Edgecombe Memorial Park, Tarboro.
