Emma Lorene Perkins, 88, passed away on Thursday, July 26, 2018.

Graveside service will be held at 4:30pm on Sunday, July 29, in the Powell Family Cemetery in Rocky Mount with the Rev. Walter Lynn officiating.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marion (Bee) N. Powell and Lilly Wilkins Powell; her husband, Geary Clide Perkins, Jr.; daughter, Gwendolyn Perkins; and a brother, Elmo Powell.

Emma is survived by a loving family which includes her daughters, Angela Warren, Audrey Perkins, Lucy Owens; sons, Daniel Lee Penwell, Johnny Duane Penwell, Geary Clide Perkins, III; sisters, Eva Prince, Clara Neal; 6 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors at the Powell Homeplace, 1093 Powell Rd., Rocky Mount, NC.
