Ethel "Glenn" Robinson (78) passed away Friday, August 9, 2019.  She was a loving wife, daughter, grandma and great-grandma.  Glenn was born in Pitt County on August 15, 1940 to Robert Lloyd Matthews and Ethel Lillian Garris.  Glenn is preceded in death by her parents, her sisters ( Jeanette Bass and Hazel Oakley) and her brothers (Albert "Big Boy" Matthews and Thomas "Tommy" Matthews).  She is survived by her husband Cecil Mitchell Robinson, along with her children, daughter-Brenda Brown and husband James, son-Billy Mitchell Robinson and wife Teresa, and daughter-Teresa Strickland, wife of the former Bennie Strickland, Sr.; three brothers Jimmy Matthews, Robert " Buck" Matthews and Mack Matthews, 7 grandchildren- Bennie "Wayne" Strickland, Jr, Billy Mitchell Robinson, Jr, Daniel Ray Robinson and wife Michele, Chris Brown, Cheryl Robinson, Savannah Strickland, and Carol Anne Brown, as well as 9 great-grandchildren.

Glenn loved Conway Twitty and Rusty Wallace and spent her Friday nights playing cards with family and friends. Her days were spent napping in between game shows and soap operas.

Visitation will be at 10 am August 12, 2019 at Carlisle Funeral Home with a graveside service to directly follow at Edgecombe Memorial Park on Hwy 258, Tarboro
