Eva "Eva Gray" Proctor Robertson, 90, went to be with the Lord peacefully on Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2024 at Bridges of Hendricks Creek in Tarboro, NC.

Eva was born June 2nd, 1934 to Charlie and Josephine Proctor. She was born in Edgecombe County. Eva would later reside in Leggett, NC where she spent most of her life farming and running a country store formerly known as Ep Worths Foods located off of Draughn Rd in Leggett. She was married to her husband, Francis Robertson, for many years and loved him dearly. Eva was a very hard worker and was well known in the area for having some of the best chicken salad you've ever tasted. Her cooking was like no other. She had a green thumb and loved flowers. On any given day during the summer, you could find her tending to her garden out behind her house. She could loop tobacco faster than you could blink back in the day. She retired from cooking at the E.L Roberson Center located in Tarboro at the age of 78. Eva was a caring and loving mother, mema and great-grandparent to her family. She loved Jesus and read her bible religiously. She loved to go to church and was a member of First Baptist church in Tarboro, NC.

She is survived by her son, Michael Robertson of Leggett, NC, grandchildren, Bryan Robertson(Emily), Jeff Robertson, Amanda Drake (Brandon) and Amber Burrell (Caylin), great-grandchildren Anna Claire and Willow Robertson, Lucas, Chandler and Weston Drake, Bryson, Abel and Silas Burrell. She is also survived by her brother Chester Proctor (Edna) of Tarboro, NC and sister-in-law Carol Proctor of Tarboro, NC.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Francis Robertson, son, Frank Robertson, sister, Nellie Ray Andrews and brother, Donald Proctor.

The family will receive friends Wednesday Aug.14th from 1 pm - 2 pm at Carlisle Funeral Home. Service will immediately follow at 2pm. This will also be held at Carlisle Funeral Home 701 Hospital Dr, Tarboro, NC 27886.
