Evelyn Fussell went to be with her Savior and Lord on October 19, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Nash County on February 27, 1930, to Archie M. and Linda B. Knox.

Graveside service will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at Greenwood Cemetery with Rev. Jody O'Neal officiating the service.

Evelyn was a member of the First Pentecostal Holiness Church where she taught Sunday School for many years, worked in the Women's Auxiliary, and helped with the church activities. She felt blessed to be a loving and devoted wife, mother, and granny. During her years of diligently being a homemaker, she also worked at Mayo Knitting Mill, Fountain Bonded Warehouse, and Trico Electric Company. She was given the title by her family and friends of "great cook and excellent seamstress."

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Willie (Brother) Fussell; sisters, Marion Sumerlin, Verlena Parker, and Patsy Baker; brothers, James E. Knox and Henry L. (Buddy) Knox; and son-in-law, Bill Ward.

She is survived by her children, Mia Eason (Ronnie), Sylvia Ward, Steve Fussell (Sylvia), and Tim Fussell (Lisha). She was a loving Granny to Ellen Ward Alford, Troy Fussell (Maria), Carman Bagley (Justin), Lindsey Kaiser (Ethan), Scott Fussell (Victoria), and Jacob Eason (Sierra). She was also blessed with eight great grandchildren, Abigail Alford, Caroline Alford, Taner Fussell, Greyson Fussell, Levi Kaiser, Rebekah Kaiser, Vincent Bagley, and Alexander Bagley.
