Elizabeth (Spunk) Wade (August 6, 1937 -- August 3, 2021) passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband George (Boot) Wade, her daughters Mary (Pete) Hathaway, and Barbara Corbett, and her Granddaughter Michelle Hathaway. Elizabeth is survived by her two sons, Donnie Wade (Kay); Billy Wade (Eugenia); and daughter Trina Sills (Dana); her grandchildren, Michael Hathaway, Brandy Davis (Kevin), Bert Brown (Kelly), Jamie Wade (Keira), David Corbett, Duane Wade, and Elizabeth Campbell (Kyle) and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Elizabeth was married to George from 1952, until his death in 2007. She was a hard worker, who enjoyed cooking, and spending time with her family and friends. She worked at Carolina Enterprise in Tarboro, where she dedicated 55 years, leaving a lot of friends to cherish her memories along with the family.

The family of Elizabeth would like to thank all those in attendance for helping us celebrate her life. She was a bright, shining light in this world, and we take solace in the fact that she will live in our hearts and memories. We also know that we will one day see her again when we join her in our Father's house.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, August 6th, at Edgecombe Memorial Park with the Reverend Don Causey officiating. In lieu of flowers make donations to Kindred Hospice,1712 W Howard Ave, Tarboro, NC 27886 or the Alzheimer's association
