Fleetie Marie Kinlaw, age 86, died peacefully on Sunday, May 3, while residing at Bella Rose Nursing and Rehab Center in Garner, NC.

She was born in Columbus County, NC on January 6, 1934 to the late Rosa Hinson McPherson and Dewey Cribb. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 47 years, Leverle Kinlaw, and sister Retha McPherson.

Fleetie was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. Some of her favorite past times included gardening, making beautiful dried floral arrangements to display in her home, square dancing, travels with her husband and family. She was an avid bridge player and enjoyed playing with her friends in a bridge club in Tarboro, NC. Fleetie loved the beach and took many trips there with family and friends. Her most favorite things in life were her family. She loved her two sons and daughters-in-law and she doted over her three grandchildren and spoiled them each.

She is survived by her sons Ken Kinlaw and wife Lindy of Raleigh, Andy Kinlaw and wife Susanne of Apex; grandchildren Haylee Kinlaw, Hannah Kinlaw and Drew Kinlaw.

Fleetie loved her Lord and Savior and her relationship with Him was evident in how she lived her life.

A graveside service only will be held on Friday, May 8 at 2:00 pm in Edgecombe Memorial Park in Tarboro, NC, with Pastor Matt Capps officiating. Due to the Covid-19 restrictions we welcome those who plan to attend to please adhere to the suggested rules and social distance of 6 feet apart. Masks are also suggested if you want to wear. You are welcome to stay in your car if you like also.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donation be made to Alzheimer's/Dementia Foundation of your choice.
