Franklin Roosevelt Robinson, 90, passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2022 peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM Monday, December 26, 2022, at Carlisle Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Bryan officiating.

Franklin was preceded in death by his parents, William Sion Robinson and Malicia Walker Robinson; grandparents, Annie Laura Walker (Granny Walker); brother, George Bill Robinson; and sisters, Ella R. Griffin and Virginia R. Williams.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Robinson; two sons, William Sion Robinson (Bubba) and David Milton Owen; two daughters, Becky Strysik of Texas; and Stephanie Robinson; grandchildren, Dustin Hoy, Nicholas and Eva Owens of Raleigh, Dianna Vickery, Melissa Serlet of Texas, and William Sion Robinson Jr.; and two great-grandchildren, Riley and Erin Hoy, sister Annie Laura R. Trevathan., several nieces and nephews

Daddy was a family man he took good care of his family. He was in the Air Force for 20 years and retired from there. Then he came home and went to work for Longs for 17 years. He married Sandra Mills and was with her till the day he died. Daddy was a character he was a good man with a big heart. He turned his life over to the Lord and turned his life around. He had a lot of friends and would give to anybody in need. In his later years he started to sing karaoke and would go around and see people in the rest homes and spend time and sing for them. He loved the football games in Tarboro and was an avid fan for a long time. He thoroughly enjoyed his football games with the Vikings and when he couldn't go no more, he listened to the games on the radio.

Visitation will be at 1:00-2:00 PM on Monday, December 26, 2022, at Carlisle Funeral Home.
