Mrs. Gaynell Gardner Rogerson, age 82, of Tarboro passed away in Vidant Edgecombe Hospital on January 21, 2018. A Celebration of Gaynell's life will be held at William & Mary Hart Presbyterian Church on Wednesday at 11:00am with the Rev. Ron McCracken officiating. The interment will follow the service on Wednesday in Woodlawn Cemetery in Williamston at 1:00 pm. Gaynell is preceded in death by her mother, Lucy Lilley Gardner and father, Hardy Maurice Gardner; husband, Ira Rogerson Jr.; sister, Judith Selph. She is survived by a loving family which includes her son, Forrest Dale Rogerson, of Tarboro; daughter, Holly A. Pierce and husband David, of Tarboro; grandchildren, Stacy Pierce and Dustin Pierce; great grandchild, Austyn Cartledge; sister, Hazel Morgan, of Mechanicsville, VA; brother, Maurice Wayne Gardner, of Jamesville, NC.
