Obituary
George William "Sonny" Johnson III, 69, and his wife, Cheryl Johnson, passed away on Friday, May 31, 2024, at their home in Greenville, NC.
George was born in Edgecombe County to the late George W. Johnson Jr. and Virginia Sexton Johnson on September 4, 1954 and was raised in Tarboro, NC.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, David Johnson.
Sonny is survived by his son, Jordan Johnson, and a step-son, Tyler Bright.
Memorial service will be at Edgecombe Memorial Park on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at 3:30pm.
