Gerald Leroy Chaney, 57, of Hobgood, North Carolina, passed away on April 18, 2026.

Known to many as “Big G,” Gerald was a devoted family man whose life was centered around faith, love, and the people closest to him. He worked with Kanban Logistics and was known for his hardworking nature and steady presence.

Gerald had a deep love for his church, where he found strength and community. He enjoyed the simple things in life fishing, singing, and spending time with those he loved. Above all, he cherished his family, especially his granddaughters, who brought him endless joy.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Becky Chaney; his sister, Lavenia Chaney; his father, Curtis Chaney; and his stepfather, Jay Jackson.

He is survived by Martha Vick and her husband Phil; his daughter, Brittany Price and her husband Donald; his beloved granddaughters, Madalyn and Isabella Price; and his aunt, Chris Armstrong and many aunts, uncle and cousins.
