Gerald Holland, 69, went to be with his heavenly Father on Tuesday, October 24, 2017. His funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, October 27, 2017 at Carlisle Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Holland officiating. Burial will follow in Edgecombe Memorial Park. Gerald retired from commercial construction as an iron worker after many years of service. Gerald and Ginger were high school sweethearts and have been married for 51 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie and Pearl Holland; brothers, Harold, William and Charles Holland; sister, Joan Griffin. Gerald is survived by a loving family which includes his wife Ginger Holland; daughter, Emily Batchelor; granddaughter, Allison Batchelor; grandson, Scott Batchelor, all of the home; son, Jerry Holland (Andrea), of Wichita, Kansas; granddaughter, Destiney Holland; great-granddaughter, Nadia Holland; grandsons, Brandon Holland, Jeremy Holland; brothers, Mitchell Holland, Randy Holland (Mary), Linwood Holland (Janis), sister, Betty Summerlin (Tony), sisters-in-law, Hazel Piacente, Linda Wilson, of Bennettsville, SC; and his grand-dog Riley. The family will receive friends and relatives on Thursday at Carlisle Funeral Home from 7:00-9:00pm. Arrangements are by Carlisle Funeral Home, Inc., of Tarboro.
