Mr. Glenn Edward Thompson, age 86 of Tarboro passed away at his home on Wednesday, February 24, 2021.

He was born in Bladen County in 1934. He was known by many as "GT" from GT's Lounge. He was a retired Carolina Telephone/Sprint employee.

He was preceded in his death by his wife, Alice Rawls Thompson who he loved and cherished dearly. He was also preceded by his children Kathy Lee Thompson and Glenn Edward Thompson, Jr.

He was survived by his children, Angela Harrison and husband Tracy Harrison, Richard Thompson and wife Debra Thompson, and Robin Reason. His grandchildren, Tanner Harrison, Owen Harrison, Ricky Thompson and wife Nicole, Joseph Thompson and fiancé Caitlin Pritchett, Fred Reason and Bobbi Williams. He had 4 great grandchildren Kayla Baez, Allen Baez, Elijah Baez and Willow Thompson. He was also loved by many family and friends.

A visitation will be held Friday, February 26th at Carlisle Funeral Home from 6-8pm. Family will receive visitors at his daughter's home 602 Fishing Creek Rd., Tarboro, NC.
