Grace House Hyde, 93, from Tarboro passed away Saturday, April 11th, 2026, surrounded by loved ones.

A graveside service will be held at Edgecombe Memorial Park on Thrusday, April 16, 2026 at 2:00pm. Friends and family are welcome to attend.

Grace was born on July 28, 1932 in Quantico, VA to Naomi Pittman Moore and William Marvin House. Grace was married to John Lee Hyde for 50 years. Grace was a homemaker who enjoyed caring for her 5 children and husband. She attended Northern Blvd Baptist Church for over 50 years.

Grace was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Lee Hyde; her two sons, William Hyde and Roger Hyde; and daughter, Mary “Kathy” Williams.

She is survived by her 3 children, Darlene (J.P.) Nobles, Marie Hyde, and Ruth (Kirk) Breedlove; 10 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; brother, Ralph House and sister, Mary Ashby.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to everyone who has called, sent cards, and checked in on all of us since her passing. We would also like to thank the staff at Edgecombe Health Center for their compassion, kindness, respect, and love shown by all of you, and will never be forgotten.
