Grace Dail Murphrey, 85 passed away Friday, July 3, 2020 peacefully at her home with her family by her side.

Graveside service will be held Monday, July 6, 2020, 11:00 am, Edgecombe Memorial Park with Pastor Nathan Wittman officiating. The family will visit with friends after the service at the cemetery.

Grace enjoyed her family, friends and spending time working in her yard, especially planting flowers and nurturing them to become something of beauty. She was a loving wife of 65 years, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and a friend to all she met. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Grace was born in Greene County to Pete and Rosa Mae Dail, March 8, 1935. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Earline Sugg; brothers, William Dail and Pete Dail.

She is survived by her loving family including husband of 65 years, Bellmont Murphrey; daughter, Elaine Murphrey; son, Dale Murphrey(Teresa); grandchildren, Suzanne Gardner ( Thommy) Amber Harrell, Elizabeth Jacobe and David A. Myers; great grandchildren, Abigail Gardner, Olivia Gardner, Gabriel Gardner, Kailyn Bradford, Teagan Bradford and Annalise Jacobe;

Brothers, Bobby Dail (Gale), Delna Dail (Betty), Ralph Dail (Pat);

Sister-in-law, Nolah Ann Dail; several loving nieces and nephews;
