Hazel Owens Harper, 78, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at Vidant Edgecombe Hospital with her family by her side.

Graveside service will be held Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 11:00 am, Edgecombe Memorial Park with Pastor Mike Chatt officiating.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Betty Williams; husbands, Ivey Owens Sr. and Dexter Harper; brothers, James and Junior Williams; sister, Helen Hardee.

Hazel is survived by her loving family including, daughters, Teresa Robinson and her husband, Billy, Connie Gilbert and her husband, Billy; son, Ivey Owens Jr.; sister, Corrinne Byrd; 7 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and her loving fur baby, "Lily."

The family would like to thank Vidant Edgecombe ICU nurse Dorothy Ward for being their earthly angel during this difficult time. A special thanks also to her niece, Lois McLawhorn.

The family will receive friends at Carlisle Funeral Home Friday, March 13, 2020 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm.
