Henderson Earl "Hint" Rose, Jr., of Old Sparta, passed away at the age of 70 on Monday, July 1, 2024.

Hint was born in Edgecombe County in 1954. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henderson Earl Rose Sr. and Eva Edmondson Rose. His brother-in-law, C.B. Bunting Jr., also precedes him in death.

He is survived by his sister, Sue Bunting of Pinetops; his fiancé, Vicky Powell; along with several cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

A graveside service will be held  Friday, July 5, 2024 at  11:00am for family and close friends at Edgecombe Memorial Park.

Hint enjoyed watching Nascar, hunting, fishing, photography, and feeding the birds and squirrels. He always showed appreciation for even the smallest of things. The simplest pleasures in life were what made Hint the happiest.
