Henry “Ray” Everette, Jr., 75, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 23, 2026.

He was born in Nash County on November 3, 1950, to Henry Ray Everette Sr. and Maggie Jones of Nash County. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Patricia Stanley Everette and his beloved pet, J.J.

He was a devoted husband, father, and friend. Ray retired from Webb’s Maintenance as a foreman.

He is survived by his daughter Michelle House (Scott); son Ray Everette (Cindy); grandchildren, Taylor House Wilburn (Nick), Dawn Savage, Chris Everette (Victoria), Miranda Moseley, Caitlyn Peele, his great-grandchildren, Oliver Wilburn, Avery Savage, Paisley Savage, Braylon Peele, Brannon Brandt, Oaklynn Moseley; grand-dogs Titan, Boomer, Tucker, Sadie and Gus; and several nieces and nephews.

A special note of appreciation is extended to Gentiva Hospice of Rocky Mount for the exceptional care, loving support, and special attention shown to Ray and our family when we needed it the most. We are deeply grateful to all of you.

A service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 28, 2026, at Carlisle Funeral Home with Pastor Dennis Gregory officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM. A private burial will follow immediately after service at Edgecombe Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at other times at the home of Michelle House, 314 E. Main Street, Whitakers, NC 27891.
