James Junior Beach, age 90, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 31, 2017.

A Celebration of James's Life will be held Friday, November 3, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Carlisle Funeral Home with Pastor Stanley Buck Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Edgecombe Memorial Park.

He was employed by Long Manufacturing as a welder for over 30 years. James loved the Lord and was a faithful member of First Free Will Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He held perfect attendance for 61 years. James would often volunteer his time at the local jail on holidays, visiting and bringing fruit and love.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Goldie Mayo Beach; parents, James and Naomi Beach; brothers, Kermit and Ollie Beach; and a sister, Edna Whitley.

James is survived by a loving family which includes his sister, Peggy Pittman, of Rocky Mount; brother-in-law, Jack Mayo, of Kinston, NC; many special nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Freewill Baptist Children's Home, 7907 Buck Deans Rd., Middlesex, NC 27557, or to the First Free Will Baptist Church, 3150 Western Blvd., Tarboro, NC 27886.
