James Henry Brown, Jr. passed away peacefully at his home on May 15th, 2023, at the age of 61. James was born on September 2nd, 1961.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and James Brown Sr. and his brother, Kenneth Brown.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Brown of 26 years; his daughter, Ashley Campbell (Chris); son, Marcus Brown (Raven); two stepsons, Christopher (Alaina) and Scotty Brown (Gini & family); bonus daughter and son, Wilma and Josh McGowan. Grandchildren, Angel Sosebee (Tyler), Courtney Brown, Joseph McGowan, Nathan and Crissa Campbell, Jase Brown, Christianna, Lillyanna and Gabrianna Brown. A special thanks to William L. Motley, Jr.

James was a boiler welder, farmer, and Jack of all trades. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed spending time with his grandkids. He was a gruff man but had a heart of gold.

The family will be accepting visitors at his home, and a memorial service will be planned at a later date at his daughter's home.
