James "Dickie" Richard Forbes, 70, passed away Sunday, October 10, 2021 in Myrtle Beach, SC.

Graveside service will be held Thursday, October 14, 2021 at 1:00 pm, Pineview Cemetery, Pinetops, N.C. with Pastor Raymond Whitehurst and Pastor Jack Franks officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at Pinetops Baptist Church Fellowship Hall and other times at the home of Glenn and Susie Walters, 1900 Pinetops-Crisp Hwy., Pinetops, NC.

Dickie was born in Nash County on August 5, 1951 to James Mark and Florence Hales Forbes. For many years he worked at Royster-Clark Fertilizer Company in sales. He owned and operated Cosmic Cleaning and Painting before retiring and moving to Myrtle Beach, SC.

James is survived by his loving family including his wife, Marilyn B. Forbes; son, James "Bert" Forbes and his wife, Brittany; granddaughter, Charley Forbes; sister, Susie Walters and her husband, Glenn; niece, Jennifer Causey; and nephew, Chris Walters.
