James Michael Hodge of Tarboro, NC died at home on April 9, 2021. Mike was born on May 5, 1953 in Prestonsburg, KY to Jack R. Hodge and Nancy S. Hodge. Mike was active in the Boy Scouts of America and received the rank of Eagle Scout. He was also an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing and shooting sports.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Nancy and his brother, William R. Hodge.  He is survived by his wife, Mary Jo Watson Hodge, stepson Jason Watson and a granddaughter Ella Watson. He is also survived by his two nephews, Steven Hodge and wife Nikki, Bryan Hodge, two great-nieces, Ainsley and Carlyn, and two great-nephews, Graham and Landon.

Graveside services will be held at Saint Michaels Episcopal Church Cemetery, on Monday April 12, 2021 at 11:00am with Chauncey Leggett officiating,

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Boy Scouts of America, of East Carolina Council, 313 Boy Scout Blvd Kinston, NC 28501.
