Jan Barber Jackson went to his heavenly home on Friday October 6, 2023.

He was born on May 1, 1953 to Davis and Mary McClelland Jackson in Wauseon, Ohio.

Jan graduated from Warwick High School in Newport News, Va. in 1972 where he played baseball. He was employed by the Newport News Shipbuilding and Dry Dock.

Jan enjoyed music, attending concerts, and sports, especially the Dallas Cowboys and the UNC Tarheels.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Jerry Jackson.

He is survived by a daughter Kelly Butler , a brother George Randall Jackson , two grandchildren, and several nephews and niece.

Jan will be missed by his good friends in Tarboro, NC. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor.
