Jean Denise Ambrose aka Priss, 64, passed away on May 8th, 2025 at ECU Edgecombe Hospital in Tarboro surrounded by her loved ones.

Priss was born in Ahoskie NC on Christmas Day in 1960 to Dorothy and Bobby Ambrose.

She retired from the state after working with Edgecombe County Department of Social Services and also spent a period of time working at the call center.

By far, her favorite and most beloved title was GiGi and her favorite job was the 3 years she spent keeping her granddaughter Mattie Nicole Hannah.

She loved spending time at the beach and dancing with Bossman. She loved eating M&Ms and Hershey bars. She also loved angels and butterflies.

Remaining to cherish Priss's memory is the love of her life, Bossman (Frank Williams); step-daughters Elizabeth Williams Hannah with husband Matt Hannah and Amy Lee Baker with husband Keith Baker; very special grandchild Mattie Nicole Hannah; her sister, Anita with husband Gregory Mills, and her niece Ashley and nephew Greg. She will also be missed by many friends. She is also survived by her beloved pets, Toka and Piper.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy and Bobby Ambrose.

The family will receive friends and family at Carlisle Funeral Home on Monday, May 12, 2025 from the hours of 6 PM until 8 PM. Other services will be posted shortly
