Jean Cobb Rawls, 83, went home to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday, September 7, 2020.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday at St. Michael's Episcopal Church Cemetery.

Jean was born in Edgecombe County on November 5, 1936 to Herman Cobb and Thelma Brown Cobb. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Rawls; brothers, Bobby and Ricky Cobb; and sister, Carolyn Cobb.

She is survived by her loving family which includes son, Jesse Rawls and wife Trish, of New Bern; daughter, Karen Godwin and husband Randy, of Greenville; grandchildren, Daniel Rawls and wife Liz, of Charlotte, Rebecca Jones and husband Ben, of Perth, Australia, Luke Godwin, of Greenville, step-grandson, Nicolas Higgins, of Winston-Salem; great granddaughter, Ava Jones; sister, Frances Webb, of Tarboro and brother, Ed Cobb and wife Debra, of Greenville.

She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Thursday at Carlisle Funeral Home from 5:00-7:00 PM.
