Obituary

Jeffrey Arlander Scott, age 64, of Tarboro, North Carolina passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at Vidant Edgecombe Hospital after a battle with cancer. Jeff was born in Bethel, NC on October 25, 1956 to Lander Daniel (Buddy) and Eula Davenport Scott. He was preceded in death by his loving mother and father.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Carlisle Funeral Home from 11:00 am-12 noon and other times at the home. The service will be held in the chapel of Carlisle Funeral Home on Saturday at 12 Noon with the Pastor Ray Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in Edgecombe Memorial Park.

Jeff married the love of his life, Charlene Robinson, of Tarboro, on October 12, 1980. Jeff owned and operated Scott Brother's Construction with his brother Wayne for over 40 years. He loved to hunt and fish and loved spending time with his furbabies Eliza Jane and Belle. He was the happiest when he was spending time with his family and especially his grandson Mason.

Jeff is survived by his wife of over 40 years Charlene; daughter Staci and son-in-law Nathan Hanchey and one grandson Mason, of Tarboro, NC; brothers: Wayne and Randy Scott of Tarboro, NC, Phillip Scott of Suffolk, VA, Glenn and Joe Scott, of Robersonville, NC; sisters: Angelia Lewis of Chocowinity, NC, Tammie Williams and Donna Griffin of Robersonville, NC and Sandra Scott of Stokes, NC; brother-in-law, Lanier Robinson, Rocky Mount, NC,  as well as three generations of nieces and nephews.
