Jerry Gurganus, 77, passed away on Monday, September 21, 2020.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, September 24, 2020 at Mildred Missionary Baptist Churchyard with Pastor Phillip Boseman officiating.

Jerry was born in Pitt County on May 25, 1943 to the late J.D. Gurganus and Mary Glissom Gurganus.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Michael Gurganus; sisters, Gail Gurganus Taylor Connie Elks; and brother John David Gurganus.

He is survived by his sons, Adam Gurganus, Bryan Gurganus, Jerry Gurganus, Jr.; brother Henry Frank Gurganus; sister Diane Gurganus; nephew Jason Taylor; and niece Joann Elks.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 1:00-2:00 PM at Carlisle Funeral Home.
