Jerry Madison Wilson, 77 of Tarboro, NC, passed away on August 17, 2026. Jerry was born on April 13, 1949, in Edgecombe County.

Jerry was a loving and devoted husband and father. He was a true and dedicated friend to all who crossed his path.

Jerry graduated from Tarboro High School. He was a country boy at heart and loved all things country such as fishing, going to the beach and family time.

Jerry never saw a stranger and had a way of making everyone feel special. Jerry was always ready to offer words of encouragement when asked for help by others. He loved school sports and was always ready, willing and able to help when called upon. Jerry was an avid dancer and loved all types of music. He loved gathering with friends and family throughout the year. His warm hearted spirit touched many lives.

Jerry worked at Consolidated Diesel for many years but he was best known as a devoted employee of the Town of Tarboro where worked for over twenty years as a Warehouse Specialist. On the flip side, The Town of Tarboro was a dedicated employer to Jerry.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Marry and Bill Wilson, Sisters, Joyce Daffin and Sandra Langley, infant brother and first wife Sandy Conner Wilson.

Jerry is survived by his wife of Thirty two years Hazel Proctor Wilson, sons, Gary (Amy), Zeno (Angie), Will (Rebecca), four grandchildren and one great grandchild. Jerry also loved his fur babies, Saylor and Charleston.

At this time there are no services planned but services will be announced at a later date. The family welcomes visits at the home, 2608 North Main Street, Tarboro, N.C..
