Mr. Jesse Vann White, age 86 of Tarboro , NC  passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Jesse was born September 11, 1936, in Bertie County, NC to the late Paul White and Beatrice Brown White. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Vernon, Hubert and Leonard White, sisters Grace Askew , Pauline Turner, Susie Miller, Myrtle Ward, and Elizabeth White.

He is survived by his wife Joyce Marie white of the home, son Jesse Ray White (Elsie) of Cary, NC ;daughter Diane White Pennell (Dan) of Little Valley, NY; four grandchildren Jesse Ray White, Jr (Melinda) of Roanoke Rapids, NC, Jeremy Vann White (Amy) of Willow Springs, NC; Thomas Christopher Dickens (Shauna) of Dublin, Ireland; Kimberly Ruth Hahn (Chris) of Little Valley, NY; four step grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; special niece Dale Husband (Buck) of Chester, VA; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Jesse was a mechanic with the Edgecombe Motor company and Team Ford in Tarboro of over 30 years and then went on to open Whites Wrecker Service and Repair which was in business for 26 years.

Visitation will be at Carlisle Funeral Home Friday, January 13, 2023, from 1 until 2 Pm followed by a Memorial Service in the Chapel of Carlisle Funeral Home with the interment at Edgecombe Memorial Park.
