Jimmie Edward Bullock, Sr. passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2025.

Celebration of Life on March 22, 2025 at His Vision Ministry, 1903 Anaconda Road, Tarboro, NC 27886 at 1:00PM.

Jimmie was born June 22, 1935, in Pitt County to the late Joe Henry Bullock and Gladys Mayo Bullock.  Jimmie began his service in the Tarboro Fire Division as a Firefighter on April 5, 1965, and advanced to the position of Fire Captain where he served for twenty years, retiring in 1984.  During his career, he was named "Paid Fireman of the Year" and named as a "Person About Town" in the local newspaper.

Jimmie was a proud resident of Tarboro and contributed to the safety of its citizens while serving as a Firefighter.  He also contributed to Tarboro during his employment at the Old Milk Plant prior to his firefighting career.

In addition to his parents, Jimmie was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Louise Bullock; brothers, Sammie Bullock and Henry Bullock; and sister, Jenny Bullock.

Left to cherish his memory is Jimmie's sister, JoAnn Joyner; son, Jimmie Bullock, Jr. and wife, Shelby; grandchildren, Amy Bottoms and husband, Justin, Jessica Duff and husband, Eric, Jacob Padgett and wife, Tammy; nine great grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Family will have a Celebration of Life Service in memory of Jimmie at a later date.
