Joan Owens Adcock, 80, passed away Sunday, May 8, 2022 with her family at her side.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at Edgecombe Memorial Park with Pastor Paul Mobley officiating.

Mrs. Adcock was born in Pitt County to Ephriam and Margaret Ann Owens. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Adcock and a brother, Wayne Owens. She was a member of the Brentwood Pentecostal Holiness Church, where she enjoyed attending and worshipping Jesus Christ with her brothers and sister in Christ. She loved her family, church family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Joan is survived by her loving family including, daughter, Penny Moots (Charles), son, Lynn Adcock (Beth); grandchildren, Charles Moots Jr. (Jessica), April Joyner (Matt), Tyler Adcock (Jessica), Justin Adcock (Jessica), Joshua Adcock (Jenny), Caroline Harris; great-grandchildren, Bryson, Noah, Abby, Maggie, Liam, Bentley, Jayden, Jaxtin and Jillian; brothers, Elton Owens and Ray Owens; sisters, Vivian Boone and Phyllis Wainwright;
