Johnny Adams, 68, passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2020, at Vidant Inpatient Hospice House with his wife by his side.

Johnny proudly served his country in the U.S. Army Reserve. Johnny grew up in Tarboro, and attended Tarboro High School. Johnny and his brother David worked at the Hollywood Drive Inn in Tarboro for many years. They will always be known for keeping their generation happy and well feed with pizza burgers, hot dogs and hamburgers. He retired from Auto Zone after many years of service. He loved football and was a diehard New England Patriot fan. Johnny will be greatly missed.

Johnny was born in Nash County to Allen and Barbara Adams. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, David Adams

He is survived by his loving family, including his wife of 31 years, Teresa Reeves Adams; sons, Michael John Adams and his wife, Stacey, Nicholas Harrell and his wife, Leslie; Grandchildren, Caleb Adams, Conner Adams, Chase Adams, Zoe Harrell and Sam Harrell; Sisters, Pat James and her husband, Ernie, Bonnie Owens and her husband, Melvin; Brother, James Adams and his wife, Susan.

Family will receive friends at Carlisle Funeral Home, Tarboro, Saturday, June 13, 2020 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm.
