John Lee Gardner, 48, passed away on June 10th, 2023 in Vanceboro, NC, after a long and difficult battle with Cancer.  He was born on August 31, 1974, to Harry and Elaine Gardner.  John was the beloved brother of Denise Lancaster. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Johnny and Sara Gardner, and his paternal grandparents, Ennis and Ada Gardner.

Services for John will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, June 17th, at Carlisle Funeral Home. The family will receive friends starting at 1:00pm on Saturday until service time.

John attended South Edgecombe School for primary education and later graduated from South West Edgecombe Highschool. He worked in Computer IT and also worked some as a Deaf Interpreter. John was a kind-hearted person who enjoyed helping others whenever he could. He had a talent for drawing and loved taking care of his dog, Aeros, in his free time.

John will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his parents, sister, brother-in-law, two nephews and their spouses, a niece and her spouse, and 2 grand nephews. Thank you to all friends, family, and the Craven County Hospice team who helped John during his battle with Cancer.
