IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Joseph Earl
Bridgers
December 25, 1946 – November 9, 2022
Joseph "Earl" Bridgers, age 75, passed away surrounded by family on Wednesday, November 9th, 2022. Born in Edgecombe County, NC on December 25th, 1946, he was the son of the late Robert Louis Bridgers, Sr. and Lillie Pearl Briley Bridgers. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Robert Louis Bridgers, Jr.
Earl spent his life working with his hands, installing glass as his career, but also partaking in many other projects such as working on cars and motorcycles, home maintenance and improvements, building everything that he could dream up, and fixing up anything with wheels that his grandkids could ride on. His passions included classic cars, motorcycles, festivals, car shows, witty banter, and anything else that could keep him busy. Even after retirement, he started his own glass installation business and took on every task that was presented to him. His active lifestyle did not, however, take him away from being a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. Earl never met a stranger and was known for his friendly demeanor and being the life of the party by everyone he came in contact with. He was an active member of Pinetops Baptist Church.
Earl leaves behind to cherish his memory, wife, Cynthia Bridgers; three daughters, Beverly Elks; Amy Page; and Ashley Bridgers; two sons, Chris Bridgers Sr. and wife, Emma; and Keith Bridgers; step daughter, Kelly Richardson and husband, Keith; sister, Debra Bridgers Hales and husband, Skip; four brothers, Roy Lee Bridgers and wife, Judy; Dallas Ray Bridgers and wife, Jane; Frank G. Bridgers and wife, Odillia; Timmy Bridgers and wife, Gina; seven grandchildren, Timmy Adams Jr.; Sandy Adams; Crystal Hill; Chris Bridgers Jr.; Caitlyn Patrick and husband, Corey; Hannah Page; and Kason Richardson. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 12th, 2022 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Carlisle Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Smith and Pastor David Proctor officiating. Burial will follow at Edgecombe Memorial Park. The family will receive friends and relatives on Friday, November 11th, 2022 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Carlisle Funeral Home
