Mr. Joseph Lee Sessoms, age 84 of Tarboro passed away May 26, 2022., in the Vidant Medical Center, Greenville, NC.

Joseph lee was born August 22, 1937, to the parents William Henry and Nora Lee Sessoms.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife Lucy Gray Sessoms who he was married to for 30 years brothers Eugene Sessoms and James (Buddy) Sessoms, sister Hazel Brady, Stepdaughter Daisy Mae Hucks, Nephew Wayne Sessoms and two cousins Margie Peaden and Billy Sessoms.

He is survived by his brother Bobby Ray Sessoms, Stepdaughter Estelle Medford (Ray), stepson Douglas Sessoms (Judy), nephew Jimmy Ray Sessoms, Dustin Sessoms, Jonathan Sessoms and Aaron Sessoms, Cousin Bennie Gene Sessoms, step grand children Dennis Ray Hucks (Lisa), James Earl Hucks, Jeffrey Lynn Hucks (Angela), Michael Ray Medford (Angel) and Lisa Warren (Jamie), several strep great grandchildren.

The family will receive friend and family at Carlisle Funeral Home on Sunday, May 29, 2022, from 2 to 2:45 with a graveside service with the Rev. James Rufus Owens officiating following at the Tolson Family Cemetery, which is located on the Trevathan Farm Road, Pinetops.
