Loving Memory

Joyce Ann Camper, age 66, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 17th, 2022, at Nash General Hospital in Rocky Mount, NC, with her daughter Wendy by her side, with whom she resided with.

She was born August 5th, 1955, in Salem, New Jersey. Many people would describe Joyce as the friendliest, most loving, open armed person you would ever meet. Joyce had a vivacious personality that would create hours of fun and laughter to those around her. She had a way of making each person feel loved and appreciated. Joyce had a special place in her heart for all animals especially her fur-babies. Joyce simply loved everyone and everything.

Joyce Ann was preceded in death by her parents Wilbert Hogate and Wilhelmina Hogate, one brother Wilbert "John" Hogate, and two sisters Janice Lyn Hogate and Wilhelmina Jean Camper.

Joyce Ann is survived by her two daughters, Wendy Lisa Camper Beal & Jason (NC), and Jillian Amybeth Camper & Dave (NJ), her brother Jerry Hogate (DE), and sister Jacqueline "Jackie" Hersko (DE), and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Very special close family friend Mary Joyce Codella-NC and her lifelong side kick Mary Ella Northam Pierson.

Joyce was also lovingly known to her grandchildren as "Mommom" or "Grandma". Her grandchildren were a great source of love and joy to Joyce. She has four grandchildren Katelyn Louise Camper (AZ), Eric Alexander Dages (NC), David Jason Magee (NJ), and Gracelyn Magee (NJ).
